Ten CFR groups recieve a £1000 donation from Stafford mayors fund

Mary collected a cheque for £1000 from Councillor Jean Tabbernor, who was the Mayor of Stafford last year. 10 CFR groups recieved £1000 each from funds raised during her year in office, and we were one of the lucky ones, Councillor Tabbernor is a strong supporter of CFR groups.

Mary had sandwiches, cakes and wine and was shown round the Mayor's parlour, viewing the robes, chains of office, mace, etc. Mary said " A very pleasant evening was had, and very worthwhile for our group. we also received a certificate when we were given our cheques. I will be sending a letter of thanks shortly"
